A first kiss that changed everything.
He was the most feared guy in high-school.
Guarded. Angry. A fighter.
But when I caught him watching me with his captivating green eyes I saw something more. Something protective and kind.
He warned me to stay away from him.
Until I didn’t and he kissed me. A knee weakening, body tingling kiss that left me breathless. And scared the hell out of me.
He warned me never to come near him again or next time he wouldn’t let me go.
That was eleven years ago.
We aren’t teenagers anymore. He has probably forgotten me. He’s a famous rock star now. I’m a dance instructor with a broken dream and desperate for a job.
So, when we cross paths again I don’t expect him to remember me.
And his warning eleven years ago? I’m about to find out exactly what that meant.
4 out of 5 Stars
I have read all of Natasha Rose’s books in both the Tear Asunder and Unyielding Series, so to say my anticipation for this book was through the roof is a complete understatement. As soon as Kept from You hit my kindle’s carousel, I engrossed myself into Killian and Savvy’s story. Nashoda Rose’s writing always delivers a possessive alpha male and Killian is just that. The story as a whole is very touching. Savvy being compared to Killian’s brother, Emmit, is sincerely heart felt. The symbolization of hope and happiness was truly portrayed.
In my opinion, I felt that this book wasn’t as smooth as others in the Tear Asunder series. As the story starts you have a young Killian and Savvy in high school. I feel like there was minimal interactions between the two characters for it to lead to a meaningful relationship. It wasn’t until 78% into the book that you understand Killian’s love for Savvy. More character development between the two when they were younger would have portrayed how close they were. However, it left me feeling like they were strangers as adults.
All in all I truly enjoyed my time spent reading Kept from You. I look forward to any and all books that Nashoda Roase writes; especially Trevor’s story which is coming up next!
