The first time I met Caine West was in a bar.
He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out.
When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight—telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass.
You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend–smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married.
He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he’d done.
Especially when that lazy smile graced his perfect face in response to my rant.
Only it turned out, the man I’d just told off wasn’t the right guy.
Oops. My mistake.
Embarrassed, I slunk out without an apology.
I was never going to see the handsome stranger again anyway, right?
That’s what I thought…until I walked into class the next morning.
Well, hello Professor West, I’m your new teaching assistant.
I’ll be working under you…figuratively speaking.
Although the literal interpretation might not be such a bad thing—working under Professor West.
This was going to be interesting…

Reading a book from one of the authors that may be considered one of your ‘go-to’ authors is like slipping on warm fuzzy slippers with a nice hot cup of coffee in hand. It just feels so good.
The story of Caine and Rachel was oh-so-forbidden. The teacher and the teaching assistant. I absolutely loved the story line and both characters were extremely likeable. I did feel like the story was very predictable…..I could put A and B together and realize what was happening. What I didn’t predict though was how this story was going to make me feel. Just wow. I wasn’t prepared for the invasion of feelings. And I’m definitely not going to spoil it but wtf would you have done if you were Caine?? I’m in awe of his bravery. To put it all on the line. To put EVERYTHING out there and know that it’s not going to work out for you but you do it anyway because ……well, because that’s what you do when you love someone.
I thought that I would read it; enjoy it and move on. But I couldn’t because of all the feels!!! I’ve finished this the other day and the feelings are still resonating with me. So, if you’re looking for a story that has a HEA, a little taboo, a little predictable and a whole lot of feels then this is your next read!! Don’t delay!!
